Its patented overall design: a unique trapezoid center and two neck lobes which cushion the head and support the neck, make it the highest quality cervical support pillow available. The Tri-Core is suitable for the Correct and Maintain stages of care.

Because the cervical curve is supported in its neutral position, using Tri-Core pillows helps to correct nerve malfunction and promotes healing of injuries. High resiliency fiber springs back when compressed. Blended cotton cover is breathable and soft. Fiberfill provides softer support and lasts longer.
Tri-Core is a premium product with 240 thread count, deluxe material and a very high quality soft luxurious fiber that lasts a long time and offers correction and comfort.

What is an Orthopedic Support Pillow?

Orthopedic Support Pillows: Support pillows are designed to help a. correct and b. maintain proper cervical posture/alignment while sleeping by providing the right amount of resistive feedback into the cervical & upper thoracic musculature.

Special Note: Support type pillows are orthotic devices (like a custom orthotic in your shoe) and therefore may take time to get accustomed to. Healthcare providers should give patients proper education regarding the time needed for training the musculature in accepting the pillow. Although some people can react positively to this type of pillow immediately, others may take up to 2 weeks of gradual increased use through the night. Patient should use pillow to waking tolerance and then switch to previous pillow for the rest of the night. Each successive night, patient should increase time support pillow is used through the night.

For ideal maintenance, the pillow should provide maximum support and comfort. Supportive pillows are used in this stage of care.

Orthopedic Pillow Uses

Natural placement of the head and neck, accomplished with the many different styles and shapes of Core cervical pillows, can help relieve intense pain by providing natural and correct posturing in supine (back) and side-sleeping positions.

Cervical support pillows are used when a cervical hypolordosis (less than normal curvature of the spine) exists, to prevent hypolordosis, or when cervical spasms or strains occur. These pillows are orthotic devices (apparatus used to align or support) used to help relieve spasms, remove minor tensions and maintain or resume the natural cervical lordotic curve while at rest.

Differences in Pillow Materials

Fiber: Allows for comfort and support. High quality fiber is blown to exact specification to insure uniform distribution and pillow weight.

Originally used to emulate features of natural down pillows & used in comfort for accommodation.
Advances in fiber have resulted in great ability to comfort & support.
Core Pillows use conjugated fiber which acts like a spring.
During manufacturing, high pressure will link fibers together & different resiliency levels can be created in the pillow. This process helps fiber stay in place and resists migration, yielding consistent support as fiber generally has amorphous tendencies and can clump or rat tail during cleaning.
Foam can offer the most consistent support but Fiber currently can offer almost as much but with more comfort.
Fiber material is available in wide array of sizes, shapes & coatings.
Has ability to perform as either a semi-solid or semi-fluid.
Has natural flame retardance & durability.

Special Note: There other types of orthopedic pillows. Besides Support Pillows, there is also Accommodate/Displacement Pillows. These pillows are designed to help relieve pain or discomfort by conforming to and stabilizing an existing condition. Relieves pain or discomfort by conforming to and stabilizing a new or existing injury or condition. Provides comfort, but does little to correct the condition. Typically for short-term use. When a neck injury or condition is acute (serious or to an intense degree, like whiplash or a significant sprain or strain), the healthcare provider’s goal is to relieve a patient's pain and discomfort before beginning treatment. What's needed is to stabilize and accommodate the condition before moving forward. The same is true for other neck injuries or at the onset of many common problems which affect the head and neck. Accommodation/Displacement pillows work well at this stage because they conform to the condition and provide immediate comfort.

Value, outstanding other brands are up to 200 dollars for a pillow, Yes they need to be replaced like tires or breaks on a car they wear. Sleep is priceless just ask my wife when I have a rough night of tossing and turning. At 2.3 Lbs that is a lot of stuffing. I have purchased 3 large D-core in the last 4 years. I get about a year however I use both sides. Depending on my C-spine and my pain for the day. Looking forward to the Air-core as I hope that I can pump up to the exact amount of support needed. I hope that it is equal to this great product. Now if I could only find Pillow Cases that fit them.

There is an added after market use for the ones that loose its support. Dog or Cat beds, Our Shih tzu's love sleeping on them and the tabby too!

I got this pillow from my chiropractor over 6 years ago and I haven't use anything else. I mainly sleep face up and no other pillow has given me better comfort. I love how firm it is and how it keeps its shape after so many years. I take it with me on trips when possible and when I can't, my neck and upper back feel the difference after a day or two. I love this pillow so much that I can not bear to give it away after I bought a new one this year.

This pillow has a great design to support the neck, I'm on my second one! However I agree completely with a previous reviewer about the fact I can only use half the pillow!!! I'm having to replace my second pillow again after 8-9 months. It gets crushed down, can't support my neck well and I can't use the other half of the pillow because its too high for my neck! This is way too expensive !! Half the pillow goes completely unused but still has to be replaced!

As the difference in densities is "subtle", why not eliminate that selection completely and instead offer pillows with different heights. That way customers get a pillow they can use both sides of.

This pillow, I'm on my third one(!) has totally eliminated my neck pain!! But, my less than five star review is due to two issues I have. First, because of the higher side of the pillow, I can only use one side and that means the pillow gets crushed down and has to be replaced after every 8-10 months! This is becoming way too expensive! Making pillows with the same height would allow customers to actually use the entire pillow! Make two different height pillows for customers to choose from like the two different densities you offer now.

Please consider this, as a pillow that has to be replaced every 9 months is just not practical or affordable.

Bought one from my chiropractor and liked it a lot. It is 4 years old and it needs replacement. Tried a similar design and it is too thin and no good after 6 months. So you get what you pay for. It is the same price at my chiropractor

This used to be the best pillow out there, but they changed the way they manufacture it. The pillow used to retain it's firmness for at least 6 months to a year and now it looses it firmness in 6 to 12 weeks. A huge disappointment from a long term user.

If you are like me and you have bought countless pillows and stood and stared in every dept. store at which one you would think would be good for you forget those and try this. Honestly I bought it a month ago and since the first night my neck pain disappeared. I am a side sleeper and would always have a sore neck and shoulder but not with this pillow!!!

I have tried many different types of pillows including the memory foam pillows, but this pillow provides the best relief for me from my neck pain. I wake up without the stiff neck and pain that other pillows give me. I am thinking about buying a backup pillow.

I have much less pain since I started using this pillow--highly recommended. I bought two from my chiropractor, and one was too big for me and thus uncomfortable...so try to get the size best for your body.

I won this pillow in a silent auction. I just can't believe I finally am rid of neck pain. I've tried several orthopedic pillows and this one finally helped me. I always needed a pillow between my pillow and the headboard this pillow is all in one. It's great.
