I agree, I've used the double core pillow for many years and noticed the same thing about the breakdown of the foam. I was told they have not changed the foam, I don't believe that. Thanks for confirming my thoughts.

I have been purchasing this pillow for years and find it's the pillow my neck is the most comfortable with. I often buy extra foam inserts because I prefer to only use the yellow, which are the firmest. It's lightweight enough to pack for trips. My only complaint is that the foam must have been changed a couple of years ago because the pillows do not last as long. They are not as hard initially as they were and the support breaks down much faster so I find myself buying replacements almost monthly to avoid neck pain when the foam is no longer holding its shape. If the pillows went back to their original density I would be even happier with them, but overall they work well even though it gets pricey to keep replacing them. I also rotate two pillows to give the foam a chance to bounce back and I let them off-gas their new foam smell for a couple of days before I sleep on them.
