4 Body Pains You Shouldn’t Ignore

Aches and pains are sometimes a natural part of the aging process- but what pains should not be ignored? Many Americans avoid seeking medical attention until ailments have become severe and advanced. Here at Core Products we have come up with 4 ailments that should NOT be ignored.

1.) Severe headache. If you are experiencing a headache that is uncommon for you or extremely painful seek medical attention immediately. Like with all of these ailments, there could be a simple cause but taking your chances by not seeking treatment can be life threatening. While a severe headache could be caused by something simple like a sinus headache it could also indicate a brain hemorrhage or brain tumor. If you are experiencing the worst headache of your life- go the ER immediately.

2.) Pain in the chest, shoulder or arm. Chest pain can indicate many things but most importantly it could be a sign of a heart attack. Most people believe they will feel extreme pain when experiencing a heart attack- but it’s often just discomfort or heaviness in the chest. Don’t wait for the pain to get worse- seek medical attention right away. The sooner you get medical health the better chances you have of surviving even a severe heart attack.

3.) Severe Abdominal Pain. Many serious medical ailments can be the cause of severe abdominal pain. Most likely severe abdominal pain can be attributed to a ruptured appendix or Gallbladder or pancreas problems. Don’t take the chance of your appendix rupturing- seek help right away.

4.) Calf pain can often be linked to a muscle injury or a result of strenuous exercise, but when the pain cannot be linked to an injury calf pain should not be ignored. Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is very serious and occurs when the veins in your legs prevent blood from flowing and clots form. When a clot breaks loose it could lead to an even called an embolism. Embolisms can travel through the body and block arteries in your brain or lungs.

Listen to your body! If you are experiencing severe pain or any pain that is unusual enough to cause you concern, you should seek medical attention right away. You’ll save time and money (and maybe even your life!) if you address these concerns right away.
