Description

Using the Cervical Traction System with Neck Roll, under the direction of a health care professional, provides the head and neck with therapeutic traction to help reduce tension on the anterior cervical spine. Cervical Neck Traction is an ideal physical therapy exercise to help relieve chronic neck pain and discomfort.

The firm, precision cut 3.75 inch diameter foam positioning cervical roll provides gentle rotational traction to the neck, placing it in a proper position to help reestablish a diminished cervical curve. The roll also allows the shoulders to drop, stretching the chest and neck muscles. Opening the chest in this manner promotes breathing and facilitates relaxation.

The adjustable traction weight bag is constructed of durable ballistic nylon, and features a heavy-duty zipper to easily add or remove weight. Simply add or remove weight using up to 5 (16.9 fl oz) filled water bottles for desired weight. The weight of the water bottles gently applies rotational traction to the head and neck, helping to stretch the spinal vertebrae and surrounding muscles. Rotating the head to the posterior creates space between the vertebrae to relieve compression and allow muscles to relax.

The head harness gently cradles the head and secures it in the proper position for cervical traction. Constructed of smooth durable nylon material, the harness is comfortable against the skin and adjustable to accommodate different sized heads. Easily adjust fit by sliding the headband positioning strap up or down. The durable resin coated metal hook easily secures to the weight bag using the integrated grommet.

Use & Care

Instructions for Use:

Note: This device should be used only as prescribed and demonstrated by your medical professional.

Begin filling the weight bag with one 16.9 fl oz filled water bottle. (Add additional filled water bottles for more weight, as directed by your healthcare professional.)
Attach the weight bag to the adjustable head harness.
Lay supine on an elevated firm surface with head extended completely off the surface edge. Elevated surface must be at least 36" above the floor.
Use the cervical roll as a fulcrum to concentrate traction in the area of kyphosis.
Place the harness on your head with the long strap under your chin and the short strap across your forehead. Lower the weight carefully. Do not drop.

Washing Instructions:

Weight Bag - Wipe clean with damp cloth and air dry.

Foam Roll - Spot clean only with dry cloth.

Head Harness - Hand wash in cold water with a mild soap and no chlorine additives and then hang dry.
