The MicroBeads® Moist Heat Therapy Accessory Pack sits in a channel at the apex of the wedge on Core's Apex Premium with Heat, providing targeted moist heat therapy to the cervical tissue. Studies indicate increasing the temperature of the tissue to be stretched improves elasticity of muscles and ligaments, extending range of motion.^{1 2}

Made with a plush fabric cover, the MicroBeads Moist Heat Pack is soft to the touch and gentle on the skin. The microbeads adsorb moisture from the air and release it when heated. Simply warm the drug free, scent free pack in the microwave; the pack will maintain therapeutic temperature for 20 minutes.

MicroBeads do not support the growth of bacteria or contain common allergens like herbal or grain based packs. Reusable.

Instructions for Uses:

Apex Premium with Heat

1. Place patient in supine position on a firm surface.

2. Position apex in area of lordotic loss.

3. The larger angled surface should face the patient's shoulders.

4. For smaller patients or less aggressive treatment, carefully remove sections by cutting along scored lines.

5. Initial treatment of 2 minutes. Increase daily treatment in 1 minute intervals, do not exceed treatment time of 20 minutes.

MicroBeads Pack

For heat therapy, place pack in microwave and heat for 10 seconds. Continue heating at 5 second intervals until desired temperature is reached. Knead pack after each heating interval.

CAUTION: Microwave power levels vary. Overheating may cause injury.

Wash & Care Instructions:

Foam Apex

Use a damp towel on the soiled location. A mild soap may be used if necessary.

MicroBead Pack

Do not wash, do not dry. Discard pack if leak develops. Please note that it is recommended to replace packs yearly.
